•  Vocational Nursing Program Information  

     

    The CBC Vocational Nursing Program is a 12 month program in which you will learn the skills you need to become a Licensed Vocational Nurse.  Classes are from 8 am – 5 pm Monday thru Thursday with some online work scheduled for Fridays and attendance is strictly enforced.    

    Application procedure:    

    1. Schedule take TSI exam and complete needed classes to be TSI Reading complete.   
    2. Schedule and take the TEAS exam.     
    3. Receive an application packet after taking and scoring 55 or better on the TEAS exam.   
    4. Complete the application packet and submit it by the deadline.     
    5. Await an email to see if you have been selected by the Selection Committee.     
    6. Return your acceptance letter.     
       
    TEAS exams are given most Fridays throughout the year.  Once the TEAS exam is passed an application packet will be given.  Application packets must be submitted by the deadline posted on your application packet which is usually in February.  The Selection Committee meets in March to select applicants to enter the program.    

    The following classes may be taken outside of the program to replace some of the classes that are required in the program:    

    BIOL 2301/2101 and BIOL 2302/2102 replaces VNSG 1320 (A&P)    

    BIOL 1322 replaces VNSG 1116 (Nutrition)    

     PSYC 2314 replaces VNSG 1133 (Growth & Development)
