Troubleshooting Problems with Membership Users and Groups

Locate the file %WinDir%\System32\Inetsrv\Metabase.xml 3. Modify the AspBufferingLimit value. 4. Restart IIS. The default value is 4194304, which is about 4 MB. Suggest changing it to 20MB (20971520) and see if that helps.
