CBC is proud to offer a developmental approach to advising with Success Coaches who specialize in providing quality advising. The CBC Success Coaches provide students with advising sessions that are personalized to meet the goals of each student. Once the student chooses their preferred degree or certificate, the Success Coach will develop a pathway plan with the student. A “pathway” is simply a plan that not only determines the sequence of courses but outlines student success strategies to help them be successful along the way.
In addition to the advising session, the CBC Success Coaches host a variety of student success workshops throughout the semester (i.e., study tips, career exploration, note-taking methods, etc.). This semester, the workshops are offered in a virtual format. To learn more about the student success workshops, visit www.coastalbend.edu/studentlife. CBC students can access the virtual room link through the college’s Learning Management System, Blackboard.
