Biography

Susie Gaitan, Director of Dual Enrollment, joined CBC 2010 after working in the healthcare industry for 25 years. She obtained her Associates of Science from Coastal Bend College in December 1992. She worked at a local hospital as a Medical Lab Technician while working on her Bachelors of Science in Healthcare Administration from Texas A&M Corpus Christi.   

During her 8 plus years at Coastal Bend College Gaitan has been in various positions: Simulation Coordinator, Allied Health Coordinator and Director of Dual Enrollment.  She also has been a phlebotomy adjunct instructor for the Continuing Education department.  She has built great working relations with many Independent School Districts and healthcare facilities in the region over the past 6 years.  

As an alumna of CBC, she recognizes the value of receiving an education and the many opportunities available to students at a community college. The building blocks of a community college helped her gain confidence and the ability to succeed in education and in her career. 

The value of family has been a key in her life. She enjoys helping others and beliefs in tradition.
