• Linda Millard, Assistant Professor of Dental Hygiene, comes to Coastal Bend College, Beeville, TX with thirty plus years’ experience in the Dental field. She has worked in general, family dentistry, Orthodontic, Periodontal and Prostodontic Specialty practices. In addition to a dental hygiene license in New York, Florida and Texas. She holds a Certificate in Oral Laser therapy, and is license in Dental Anesthesia. She began her teaching career at Coastal Bend in 2013-14, as a Part-Time clinical instructor.  Concurrently, Millard has over ten years experience and training in Forensic Dentistry. She is a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) NCIC certified dental coder. Having been part of the NYCOCME dental ID team after the attacks on 9/11, she has been awarded certificates of Outstanding Service from NYC and Colgate Company. 

    Millard obtained a Certificate in Dental assisting from (Bryman) Eckert College, Long Beach, CA in 1984, an AAS-DH from SUNY Orange County, NY in 1988, a Associate of Arts and a Bachelors in Dental Hygiene from St. Petersburg College, Florida 2013. She is currently in pursuit of Master in Education (M.Ed) from Liberty University.  

    Volunteering is her way of giving back to the community. She has participated with Timmons Ministries, Give Kids a Smile, and other local charities. She enjoys learning to play acoustic guitar and has been involved in Community Theater. She spends free time in travel, bicycling and kayaking with her husband, two dogs and two adult sons.  Her belief is that education is a lifelong endeavor and that each day there are new opportunities to learn.
