• Dr. Michelle Lane serves as the Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Research. Within this role, she performs analytical and administrative tasks in support of a system of college effectiveness, research, planning and assessment with special emphasis on institutional research, planning and development of information needed for effective college operations.  Dr. Lane supervises CBC programming department staff to ensure the student information system and other data bases used in research, planning and assessment are secure, accurate, relevant and appropriate.  As a team, we work to provide college employees approved access to timely and accurate data to support data-informed decision-making across the institution.   

    Dr. Lane has over 10 years of experience in higher education working in various capacities to include Advancement, Advising, External Locations, Continuing Education, and Institutional Effectiveness with the longest amount of time spent working in the area of Assessment. She has also been an adjunct instructor since 2013 and continues to teach supplemental courses working with remedial/developmental students when possible.     Dr. Lane has served many committees in the past such as, Achieving the Dream, Enrollment Management Team, Student Learning Improvement Committee, Continuous Improvement Leadership Team, Strategic Planning Steering Committees, Behavioral Intervention Team, Work-Study Allocation Team, Assessment Academy within the Higher Learning Commission, Student Government Sponsor, Student Ambassador Sponsor, and various hiring committees. Additionally, she has stayed active within her discipline and state by participating in professional organizations such as the Association of Institutional Researchers (AIR) and Missouri Community College Association (MCCA).
