• Dr. Twila Johnson earned her Bachelor of Science in History and English, Master of Science in History and Politics, and Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership all from Texas A & M University – Kingsville. 

    She began her educational career as a Middle School History and English teacher in Kingsville, Texas in 1995. She moved on to teach High School English, Government, Economics, Geography, US History, and AP and dual credit courses. 

    After teaching in the public schools for fifteen years, Dr. Johnson transitioned to the post-secondary arena as a community college and university instructor. She moved to the administrative role in 2011 as a community college site Director and then in 2012 as the Dean of Academics for the College. 

    In June of 2015, Dr. Johnson eagerly began her new role as the Career and Technical Education Coordinator with an ISD with a goal to lead students to prosperous lives into the 21st century by providing them the tools for a solid foundation in academic skills, employability skills, and technical skills. 

    Dr. Johnson became an Independent Educational Consultant in 2017 working with ISDs and colleges to help provide a warm hand for students from high school to post-secondary. She provides professional development for teachers and administrators and mentors new teachers. She presents at national, state and local conferences on topics pertinent to student success. She also provides motivational speaking for students and faculty.
