• Open Records Request

    Effective September 3, 2020

    The Texas Public Information Act

The Texas Public Information Act (TPIA) gives the public the right to request access to government information. The request must ask for information already in existence. The TPIA does not require Coastal Bend College to create new information, perform legal searches, or answer general questions. Additional information about requests can be found in Coastal Bend College Board Policy linked here.

    To Request Information:

Before you submit a public information request, please review the Coastal Bend College website. The information you are seeking may be available online.

Your request must be in writing, delivered in person, sent by U.S. mail, fax or e-mail. Under the Public Information Act, only written requests trigger the District’s obligation to provide a response.
