The Radiologic Technology Program at Coastal Bend College is a 22-month program that incorporates didactic, laboratory, and clinical education to prepare students for an exciting career as a Health Care Professional. The program is only offered on the Beeville Campus where two energized, fully digital laboratories are utilized. Upon completion of the program, students will earn an Associate of Applied Science degree in Radiologic Technology and qualification to sit for the certification and registration examination provided by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Students will also be advised on how to become licensed as a Medical Radiologic Technologist through the Texas Medical Board.

Applying to the Program
- Applicants must complete a Coastal Bend College application and be accepted into the college before applying to the program. Acceptance into Coastal Bend College does not guarantee acceptance into the Radiologic Technology Program. Admission policies for Coastal Bend College can be found on the Admissions Webpage.
- Prior to acceptance, students must submit their unofficial transcripts with their application to the program. After acceptance, transcripts of students with transfer credit are evaluated by the Admissions and Registrar's Office in accordance with the Transcript Evaluation Process that begins with students completing the Transcript Evaluation Form.
- Twenty-one students will be selected to begin the program each Fall. Student selection is based on a point scoring system. The program uses this Score Sheet to determine eligibility. If there is a tie, student academic history will be taken into consideration and a final decision will be made by program administration.
- Applications will be reviewed early June; acceptance, denial, and alternate letters will be sent via email mid-June.
- GPAs will be averaged for applicants with multiple transcripts when determining GPA points toward application.
- If grades are not posted to your transcripts before the application deadline, you must notify the Radiology Department that you are waiting on your grades to be posted prior to the application deadline.
- Applications may be submitted throughout the academic year.
- The Radiology Program is exempt of the EDUC 1300 requirement.
