As a student success-driven institution, Coastal Bend College offers many programs to help all students become college ready as efficiently and timely as possible.
TSI Testing
All students must take the TSI Assessment in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics. Students may sign up for a testing day in the Cougar Center at any Coastal Bend College campus. For more information about testing or to sign up online, click here.
TSI Testing Exemptions
Prior coursework and/or test scores can exempt students from taking the TSI Assessment. For more information, please review the 2021 TSI Testing Exemptions.
TSI Placement and Coursework
Students will be provided with an immediate print out of results after taking the TSI Assessment. These scores are used to place the student into his/her college courses. All incoming freshman should visit with his/her assigned advisor when enrolling in classes. Students, check your school email or campus connect for your assigned advisor.
