The Coastal Bend College Dental Hygiene Program is a competitive-entry program accepting 30 students each Fall semester. The program is based at the Beeville campus only. Upon satisfactory completion of the two-year program, students receive an Associate in Applied Science degree and are eligible to apply to take the National Board Dental Hygiene Examination and a regional clinical board examination. The program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. The Dental Hygiene program prepares students to be primary oral health care professionals who play a key role in promoting oral health through education, preventive and therapeutic services. The program helps students reach their full potential by developing academic and clinical competencies, critical thinking skills, communication proficiency and civic responsibility.
Teaching Health Information Technology involves equipping students with essential skills to manage, analyze, and optimize healthcare data. Educators focus on electronic health records, data security, and technological advancements, preparing future professionals to navigate the intersection of healthcare and cutting-edge information systems, ensuring efficient and secure patient care.

The Radiologic Technology Program at Coastal Bend College is a 22-month program that incorporates didactic, laboratory, and clinical education to prepare students for an exciting career as a Health Care Professional. The program is only offered on the Beeville Campus where two energized, fully digital laboratories are utilized. Upon completion of the program, students will earn an Associate of Applied Science degree in Radiologic Technology and qualification to sit for the certification and registration examination provided by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Students will also be advised on how to become licensed as a Medical Radiologic Technologist through the Texas Medical Board.
