Applying for Financial Aid
Complete your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at www.studentaid.gov.

For the 2024-2025 academic year, You will need:

a. 2022 Income Tax Returns and W-2's (if under the age of 24, not married, and not monetarily
supporting a child over 50%, you will also have to use parent(s) tax information).

b. Parent(s) social security numbers, date of birth, marital status, and date of marital status.

c. Use CBC's federal code of 003546 to ensure we receive your application.

d. Apply online for your FSA ID, a username and password used to sign application
electronically. If you are a dependent student both you and contributor will need to have an
FSA ID. The FSA ID will confirm your identity when you access your financial aid
information.

For the 2023-2024 academic year: You will need 2021 Income Tax returns and W-2's (if under the age of 24, not married, and not monetarily supporting a child over 50%, you will also have to use user parent(s) tax information)
  • The Financial Aid Office will receive the information from the Department of Education within 3-5 business days after you submit your FAFSA.
  • The Financial Aid Office will then mail your missing information letter to the mailing address reported on your FAFSA.
  • The student must complete and submit the paperwork requested by the financial aid office.
  • Financial aid will not be determined until all documents are received and complete.

Please check Cougar Den for your status or award amount. Students who are not eligible for financial aid will be notified via mail.
