The Texas Public Information Act (TPIA) gives the public the
right to request access to government information. The request must ask for
information already in existence. The TPIA does not require Coastal Bend
College to create new information, perform legal searches, or answer general

To Request Information:
Before you submit a public information request, please review
the Coastal Bend College website. The information you are seeking may be available
online.
Your request must be in writing, delivered in person, sent by
U.S. mail, fax or e-mail. Under the Public Information Act, only written
requests trigger the District’s obligation to provide a response.

Requests for Student Records
If you are a current student, a parent of a current student, or
a former student, records requests and requests for official transcripts should
be made directly to Admissions.
